So I begin. You know, these past few months have been a whirlwind. Past few years, actually. Everything in my life has been gearing up towards serving a mission for my church. I even sang about it when I was little:
"I hope they call me on a mission
When I have grown a foot or two..."
Now it's almost here. To bring you up to speed: After a lengthy paperwork and interview process, I got my mission call to serve in Taichung, Taiwan, for 2 years, starting on July 5th, 2012. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I've been looking forward to giving this time in my life away to serving my brothers and sisters around the world. It is such a surreal experience, knowing I'm on my way to fulfilling this life-long wish.
And it's just around the corner...
We are so proud of you! I can't believe how fast time has flown, truly a whirlwind. I'm sure that is how your mission will feel too--so fast, so make the most of every moment. We are so excited for you and the experience you are about to have--it will be transforming and unforgetable! Love you--Mom
